A post from Connors Mom.

Last night Connor came into our room in a lot of pain in his stomach, especially under his right rib. After several hours of waves of pain bringing him to tears we decided we better take him to the ER. The Doctor ran labs and a CAT scan. His spleenal renal shunt seems to be fine and he has no signs of infection in his body but his gallbladder is a little big, but with no stones. They gave Connor some pain meds and he is home now sleeping. We will have some follow-up appointments to double check things but at this point it’s a wait and see situation.

Most of you know that Connor is an Honorary Fire Fighter with the City of Folsom? Well through all of the hospital junk Connor noticed a firefighter walk past his room he asked Jared to grab the guy and ask him what station he was from. Luckily the guy remembered Connor and came in to say hi. I was so touched that this young firefighter would take the time to come into Connors room and visit with him. I was also touched to hear even more fantastic stories if heroism about our cities Fire Chief Dan Haverty from one of his own firefighters. I continue to be grateful for all of the amazing role models our family has.

Tiffany, you have it backwards. We should be thanking your family for the example you set for us. As parents, showing us that our kids dreams come before ours and supporting their decicions even though it might not be the safest thing. Letting them spread their wings though the chance of falling is high. For Connor knowing that his family is always there for him and will pass this on to his children. And showing us that no matter what we are dealt we can try our best to keep a good and positive attitude which helps us heal faster, and draw the best people to us. Stacy and I are very honored just to know your family!!!!

I’m so sorry to hear that Connor isn’t feeling well. I had a similar problem with my gallbladder several years ago. My pain was in the same area under my right rib cage. They did an ultrasound and no stones but found inflammation. They put me on antibiotics and in 10 days I was fine. I also had to stay away from fried foods for awhile too… I’m praying the same for Connor.

    God bless,
